    * Are you married to or considering marrying a US citizen, a permenant resident, or someone on a non-immigrant visa? Yes, and we have no problem getting married legally over here if that is the easiest way to get him over there.

    * Do you have a sibling over 21 who is a US citizen? Jon's sister has her residency in America, her husband is a US citizen.

    * Do you have an academic degree? Jon has a degree in criminal justice from an American College.

    * Do you have specialist skills? Maybe? Jon worked in a power plant for a few years, and that supposedly is a special skill, though I don't know for sure. He also speaks Mandarin. But I really don't know that those matter.

    * Are you interested in menial seasonal work? This would be fine.

    * Are you an Australian citizen? Yes, he is.

    And no skeletons.

Thanks so so much for any help you can give me.

Hi, the forum was closed but I wondered if you could help me, as you seemed really helpful on other posts. I'm American, but my boyfriend of 5 years is Australian and we want to move back to the States to live permanently. My visa here expires in 6 months, and we would really like to move back together. I answered your questions and will send them in a separate message-- there isn't enough space here.

As you know, my sister lives in the US (currently Xenio, OH)which personally is way to quiet for me. She thinks my best bet is going to somewhere in Virginia. I'm a legal PA currently working for a US firm in the UK. I don't want somewhere like NY or Chicago. I want somewhere warm and sunny pretty much all year round. Somewhere with cheap rent too! I am thinking about retraining - like home care or dental nurse.

Hi Fatbrit I had a question, I saw your closed thread about people interested in moving to America, and I noticed nothing about British citizens, or military service men. Why is that?
