it's getting your 3 year exemption, you should have applied for the exemption within 60 days of purchase, exemption is based on Residence, income and property value,
This is current Law in place since Dec 2011
you must be a Resident i.e property must be your main primary residence
you must earn less than 153,500€ pa
property value less than 125,00€ (this is the VPN value not the purchase price)
If you applied within the 60 days you shouldn't have a problem, it's making Financas understand you don't have an income but savings.
If you didn't apply within 60 days sorry but very much doubt it Finanacas aren't ones for being helpful or backdating applications
A local accountant should be able to help it might cost you between 50-100€ but certainly shouldn't be more, it's whether the 3 years exemption from IMI are worth it
