    hi Auld,

I am applying for the Cananda FSWP 2014.
After getting associated with this forum, i started believing that its best to file the application on your own as every info is given on the web site and all the remaining doubts can be cleared right here.
But due to some unavoidable problems i will have to choose a lawyer/consultant for my application.

if its possible, could u plz suggest any of the best immigration lawyer from canada or anywhere else !

i will be highly grateful for ur valuable response and help.

    thanks,

    prashant

    His basic details are:

    Age: 34
    Nationality: India

    Occupation: Public Relation/Liaison Officer

Any guidance in this regard will be highly appreciable.

    Hi Auld,

Do you mean CanAussie.com? I was merely trying to help, and there is information on there which can help your users.

Is it because you view it as a competitor?

thanks for your promt reply. One more question, once we have landed will they issue a PR card to our UK address as we will be returning after 2 weeks in Canada, or should we get a post office box address. I've looked on the government website but its not clear.
    Regards

Thank you, Auld Yin. I know that these places are far away from each other, so I was wondering if there was an acceptable 'in between'. That answer seems to be 'no'. So we will have to wait until we know where my husband will find a job.
Aren't you working in IT? There are a lot of major companies with a HQ in Toronto/Mississauga. But there's also the technology triangle in K-W-C... Any idea if the jobs in K-W-C are as challenging as the ones in the HQ's of Toronto?

K-W-C to Markham really is much too far. I reckon it would be at least a 2 hour commute each way. To Mississauga it would be over an hour each way and into Toronto proper probably 2 hours each way. Guelph is IMO, still too far away. The problem is that you would require to cross the city from west to east, fighting traffic all the way.
If the job you obtain is in Mississauga or Markham then there is plenty og good housing in both communities or nearby. If in Toronto proper there is a good commuter transit system into the city so you can live in most suburban communities and get into town from between 30 and 60 minutes. I live in Pickering which is on the eastern edge of the city. From my house to the train station and then into town it takes about 1 hour. For me to Markham by car it's about 30 minutes.
I hope this is of help.

    Dear Auld Yin,

we are planning to move this summer (july/august). As my husband is still job hunting (and probably will be as we land in Ontario), we are not shure where to rent a house.
There are opportunities for a job in Toronto, Markham, Mississauga and the K-W-C area. Where should you suggest to find a house to rent? We need a good high school, a green area and a detached house, but also reasonable commuting distance...
Is Guelph an option, or to far away from f.e. Markham?
    Other suggestions?

    Thank you in advance!

    Elke
