Default Meeting in Subic?

We (myself, wife, son and sis-law) are going down to Subic 4-6JAN and would love to meet up with anyone down there and get some "inside scoop" of life on SBMA and Zambales area as we look ahead to late 2017 making the move possibly once my contract in Japan ends. We will be staying at the Vista Marina Hotel on SBMA. You can PM me or I'm on skype wherever I have wifi, which is most of today, at Jayman991. Hope to meet up!

I think there are two or three members over that way. Perhaps they will chime in. You'll love SBMA for sure. Be sure to stop at the Subic Chamber of Commerce while on-base. They are or use to be located close to the shipping docks area (where the carriers use to dock.) They will have loads of info on the base and housing etc.

Thanks Jet. yeah, been in touch with a couple and things seem be coming together. Also got filled in on some of the recent goings on there and such. Hopefully the SBMA gets itself organized again and someone takes serious charge to get things back to where they need to be. We plan on checking a lot of places over the next yr or so, including some of the over built areas down south of Manila even, and all way up to Baguio. Lots to sort out in the next yr or so, as we plan to narrow a list and rent some different locations a few months each until we settle on "where". Lying low today as the local gut crud or germs finally caught up to me. Thanks again and I'll get that picture for ya!

Sorry to hear about the stomach problem. I end up with it about one a year no matter what.
If no allergies, use Amoxicillin 500mg three (3) times per day for 3 days or so. Usually works well.
Sounds like you'll have fun exploring places once ya feel better again..

BIG Thank You to Don and Abby at Subic, and to Rogdas in Sorsogon for their awesome hospitality and taking the time to show us the ropes in their share of Paradise. Thanks to Jon for some tips by net since we could not get our travel schedule to jive. This was a Very productive trip, despite the 8 lbs weight loss via dysentery which a pharmacist in Sorsogon fixed me up! We became on "sold" we can do this Right Now if needed, but we are definitely moving back to PI in November this year. We will go down again this Spring to explore Palawan since our last visit there in 2009, and already have some property ID'd to look at. As one Aussie had said before, "Why the hell are you still working?" We'll get all of our paperwork in order for Asawa's citizenship in US and my 13a, visit family in US and before we know it, it'll be moving time. Thanks again to all for the feedback.
