Default Introducing myself

Hi Everyone,

Just realized that I haven't yet introduced myself - how rude!

I'm originally from Northumberland in the UK and now live in Nantes - have been here seven years working as a vocal coach and voice rehabilitation specialist with injured singers (I specialize in the physiology of the singing and speaking voice).

Looking forward to getting to know you all - especially anyone who might be in or around Nantes.

Hi and welcome to the forum (even if a bit late).

Brittany seems to be a popular area for our forum members lately. I was out to Brest a couple weeks ago, and really enjoyed the area, so I guess I can understand.
Cheers,
Bev

Thanks for the welcome, Bev!

I really like the city of Nantes and surrounding area, although when I first moved here I hadn't ever been before, nor was there much information on the net - it was a bit of a risk to be honest, but it paid off.

On our trip out to Brest (from Paris), we changed trains in Nantes. I know Nantes as being the town in which the official records for us "furriners" are kept, but I admit to being very impressed by the train station there, where we had lunch and passed a lovely time waiting for our connection to Brest.

Had only been out that way once before - to a "bio fair" just south of Nantes. That's where I got my current kitty - someone was giving away kittens, and I was afraid they would demand that I raise him as a "vegetarian" or something. (While I appreciate vegetarian ways, cats are simply not vegetarians by nature.) No problem - and he has turned out to be a lovely, affectionate kitty - part of which I attribute to his Breton roots.
Cheers,
Bev

Hi! following up on cats, our nocturnal carnivour, which we have had for 15 years, still prefers tuna, beef, cheese to any of the dried, partly veg and grain cat foods. I'm so glad he is so small, imagine if these sweet little kitties were even three times their size!
