Default Top chef?

Any Top Chef fans on here?

Go Norbert! Jean to leave next for me. Really sick (and slightly jealous) of seeing his massive bouncing mound of hair every week on that show. I mean, how much hair does one man need???

...Obviously if there aren't any Top Chef fans on here, then none of this will make any sense to anyone!

Norbert?! Seriously?! He's certainly interesting to watch. I'm rooting for Cyrille. Originally I was going for Ruben (at 18 and an amateur he was certainly the underdog). I'm glad whiny Tabata is gone and I won't miss pretty-haired Jean when he's next to go.

I've heard people talking about Top Chef, but have never seen the show myself. Not really into these sorts of "game shows" (or do the cooking things count as "reality shows"?). Ever since I got my e-reader, my television time has gone WAY down.
Cheers,
Bev

Yeah I like Ruben too. It was a shame.

Re: Norbert, I just find it incredible that someone so hyperactive can make such beautiful, and sophisticated food. Plus he is a right character with some very funny expressions!

Bev, I watch trashy French TV because it helps with my French... that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!

Hey, go for broke! One of my secret delights when I go to the US is to catch up on certain trashy TV programs back there. (And yes, I used trashy German TV to work on my German when I first arrived there.)

If you like really trashy TV, there is a Jerry Springer spin-off on one of the satellite channels. It's hysterical watching French people get "down and dirty" just like US trailer park trash. (And the show puts the lie to that thing about "French Women Don't Get Fat")
Cheers,
Bev

Anyone has watched top chef US AND france?
Isn't it equally hilarious and annoying how LONG the french shows last and how much crying there is on there... I swear we need to watch the show in 3 settings cause they make it last so freaking long. They add like 3 steps for every challenge to make it more affordable (ads).. It gets old pretty quickly. But I still watching. Was routing for Cyrille too... oh well
