Some of you will remember this from days gone by! Well now I'm going to bring you right up to date!

In April 2008 we were given Bethan.....as payment for a website actually.

When people saw how bad a state she was in they told us she was never going to live.

This is how she looked back then....



But just look at her now....





18 months ago, Dewi looked like this.....



Now he's head and shoulders taller than Bethan.....he's huge! And he just keeps getting bigger!



Unfortunately he's also an idiot! Because who in their right mind would crap in their food?



While all that was going on.....Dylan just did what he does best....eat!



Though he was very ill 18 months ago with laminitis.....the vet had said there was only one course of action.
We wouldn't accept the Spanish mentality that if an animal isn't fit for working or breeding then he's of no value. So he had the best treatment we could get for him....and 3 months later he was back to his old self.

The animal count at present stands at 5 dogs, 2 horses, a donkey, a duck, a guinea pig, a hare, and a tortoise......who's hibernating in the bedroom cupboard next to me!

All of them apart from Dewi were rescues (though if we hadn't bought him he would have had an uncertain future), and of those rescues (besides one dog) they all happened during our six years in Spain!

And finally....a personal message from me for the New Year ahead!



Apparently it's the end of the world in 2012.....so what the hell! Just go for it!

Get back over here Jo.....and I'll make a booking at some sleazy no-tell Motel......and charge it to Strav's credit card of course!

Yes he is very caring about the animals but I think we need to give Alison a bit of credit for the animals as well. She never stops.
Mind you how she puts up with him I never know.
