Default Don't worry ...... there's no point.

Forget global warming, don’t bother worrying about winters of discontent or in fact anything at all because I’m afraid we’re all doomed. It looks like Douglas Adams was wrong and it’s not going to be a Vogon Constructor Fleet that will be our demise…… we’re going to do it ourselves and it’s already begun.

Apparently there are now such things as “Faith based apps” whereby you have an app for your smartphone that brings you closer to your god. There’s even one that quotes passages from the Koran if you point it towards Mecca.

Any species that goes that far in its desperate pursuit of salvation is doomed to keep inventing more & more ridiculous things until it finally disappears up its own jacksie in a whirlwind of “Look what we got now!”

So you see, it’s pointless worrying about anything ……… so let’s have a party …… ‘nother drink anyone?

I know that recent posts about unemployment, the nations economy and up coming elections are negative. However, that's the reality of Spain today, unfortunately; the Spain where I live and work, where I've made my life. It's difficult to push all to one side when it affects your day to day living - in fact I think it's irresponsible to do so!
My point in contributing to this information is so that people outside the country, and those who are in the country and who have difficulty in keeping up with the news, have some idea of what's happening, and to find out what other people's take on this is. Some people's bubble might get burst. Others don't give a .... That's up to the individual.
Meanwhile, if anybody want to get together to have a drink an a chat, to listen to a bit of music and to crack a few jokes - I'm up for it!
PS Couldn't download an app if I tried, and I'd need a little bit more incentive than being closer to god or the koran to make me learn.

There's an old saying that goes something like "give me the serenity to accept the things I can't change, the courage to change the things I can change, and the wisdom to know the difference".

I don't think I can be getting wiser as a I get older because I still get angry about things I can't change. Must work on that serenity idea ...

Problem for many folk is that if they don't have important things to worry about they let minor issues get to them and end up making mountains out of molehills.

Like yourself I occasionally get angry about things I can't change.
For instance it was obvious during the later days of the Brown govt that they were some of the most disastrous in the countries history, as he continued to make what was a bad situation due to the recession dramatically worse.
I notice Alistair Darling has just published a book describing every single day under Brown as a state of Chaos and Crisis which unfortunately was all to obvious to helpless and frustated bystanders.
I could also mention the yobbish behaviour during the recent riots, but at least they were short lived.
However even when they were sorted, little credit was given to the cops, only criticism for a situation not of their making or one that no one could ever have predicted would blow up to the scale it did.

Right, enough of that nonsense, I'm now off for a nice walk with the mut in some lovely countryside, hopefully to rid my mind of such aggravations,... for a while at least anyway until I switch on the bloody news again.

Why the hell can't they report a few nice things for a change, even if it's just for one day a week ?

Funny, I never read the news on Sundays for that very reason!

I read the news once and I didn't like it so I don't do it anymore unless it's about football (sorry JoJo)
