Default EuroMillions jackpot winners have fled to Spain

EuroMillions winners Colin and Chris Weir 'flee to avoid begging letters' | Metro.co.uk

Quote:
The couple from Largs, Ayrshire joined the UK's rich list when they scooped the £161 million prize on Tuesday.
Colin and Chris Weir have headed to Spain (PA) Colin and Chris Weir have headed to Spain (PA)

They made the surprising decision to go public about their success and while many people were pleased the money had gone to such a down to earth couple, others saw it as an opportunity.
I have a couple of students from Largs - they're back there atm - I wonder if they know them & if they've recommended Jįvea!

I love the neighbour's comment "No one would have known if they'd kept it quiet". Yeah, right.

I loved the comment "they do not plan to be too extravagant with the money".

With £160 million you just need to put it in the bank and you can live very well on the interest.

It reminds me of a man a few years ago who won several million in the UK lottery. He took his wife to Little Chef to celebrate

Also, a neighbour of ours in the UK won £9 million. He took his pals to the pub and gave them all a sealed envelope. They were very excited. When they opened them they each contained a £1 lottery ticket.
