Has anybody else had problems getting Rice Krispies or the Lidl look-alike, Rice Snaps? We have had neither around here for about 4 or 5 months.
We don't use them a lot and then mainly for crushing and seasoning for use as a crispy coating for chicken or fish goujons which we serve with mango chutney as a dipping sauce. While many recipes call for coating in batter and deep frying, we do our goujons in the oven or under the grill for a light, virtually fat-free version.
Rice Krispies are also good (after crushing) as a crumb coating for scotch- eggs or anything else that uses a crumb coating.
