Has anybody else had problems getting Rice Krispies or the Lidl look-alike, Rice Snaps? We have had neither around here for about 4 or 5 months.

We don't use them a lot and then mainly for crushing and seasoning for use as a crispy coating for chicken or fish goujons which we serve with mango chutney as a dipping sauce. While many recipes call for coating in batter and deep frying, we do our goujons in the oven or under the grill for a light, virtually fat-free version.

Rice Krispies are also good (after crushing) as a crumb coating for scotch- eggs or anything else that uses a crumb coating.

Good grief, I hope there's not a shortage! That's the only cereal my daughter likes, (except for coco krispies which we refuse to buy) and she announced earlier on that she was on the last box!
They are not available in all supermarkets, for example they aren't stocked in Mercadona, but I think I usualyy get them in Carrefour.
