yes - gaseosa we call it here - Casera is a brand name, isn't it??

it IS rather like English lemonade though - not really lemony, and nothing like American or real lemonade - more like just sweet fizzy water

That's right, La Casera is a brand of gaseosa which is basically sweet fizzy water. In the UK, that's what passes for lemonade, especially if you mix it with beer to make shandy. Here it is mixed with cheap red wine to make tinto de verano.

Like the Jock said earlier.....the "g" sound and many others are fairly straightforward for those of us with Celtic accents. Because whether we speak those respective Celtic dialects or not, the actual sounds will appear in our speech patterns.
For any of my kind just think of "chwarae".....and you're sorted on this one.

I actually did a test with a few educated Spaniards to see if they could replicate the Welsh sounds. They were OK with the ones that matched theirs ....but failed miserably on everything else.
They started off really well on "Machynlleth"....but the third syllable stopped them in their tracks. Obviously we never got past the first syllable of "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysili ogogogoch".

I did advise them to start off with a mouthful of gob, but they couldn't grasp the concept I'm afraid!
