Rippy is on a distinguished road
Default Hello everyone!

A good day to each and every one of you!! My name is Paul, i'm 27 and live in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England! I've been a chef for over 11 years and i'm looking to expand my chef (and life) experience by working abroad in either America or Australia! So far i've not had much luck in finding sponsorships so that has led me here, hoping to find someone who can help! So if any of you know of anyone who is willing to sponsor me then just reply to this thread! Hopefully i'll get some positive responses!! Take care everyone!!

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

If you read through some of the threads on the America section of the forum, you'll notice that getting sponsored as a chef in the US is pretty tough - and even then you'll be subject to a lottery to see if you even get a visa. The US system is admittedly skewed toward university degrees or celebrities. (Write a best selling cook book and get yourself a TV show like Jaime Whatshizname and you can probably get a visa no problem!)

Australia might be a better choice for the moment. Though after next January, with a new administration in the White House, things may start to improve on the US front.
Cheers,
Bev

Welcome! And check out the Australia and American forums, too. In the Australia forum, read through the stickies to find out about the point system for emigrating to Australia.

If you are willing to be a bit more adventurous, check out resorts in some of the former British colonies. I say British just so you don't have to deal with a language barrier. Try Fiji, for instance.
