Dmonty23 is on a distinguished road
Default Hi from Scotland

Hi

My family are considering looking into moving to Canada as we feel that the uk is going to the dogs...
I am married with two daughters, I am an electrical supervisor on the oil platforms in the north sea, working 2 weeks on and 3 weeks off. I would like to be able to go home at night after my work, this seriously rules out the uk..IWe would like to try Canada. I am experienced in most fields of electrical jobs, from domestic to Nuclear, does anyone have any free advice on job sites, schooling etc all comments welcome.

Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum.

The good news is that Canada is opening its doors to immigration, especially British. I am sure there is someone who can give you some advice.

Although Scotland can get very cold, I doubt it is as cold at Canada!

Regards

Michelle

Never sure this is the best reason to change countries, nor even that it's a fair assessment of the UK. We're not talking Zimbabwe here, are we?

What concerns me is why you think Canada will be better. You may find that the things that bother you in the UK are also problems in Canada. People get ideas about a country that have no basis in fact, sometimes, and making decisions based on those ideas is usually not a good idea. Have you spent a lot of time in Canada?
