I'm new to this forum and have actually been to Australia before and am planning on going again in few months.

I'm 40 y/o American currently working in Kuwait and am considering my options as to returning to the states or moving to Australia. Actually, I really am leaning towards moving to AUS and starting a business if I can as opposed to the normal work/visa route.

While researching my avenues of approach, I would like any advice or info from anyone here who has experience or knows of the rules and regulations regarding non native Australians starting their own businesses?

How difficult could it be? After all, people come from all over the world to the U.S.A. to do it and many seem to be successful so how hard could it be for an American to repeat that success somewhere else?

Hope to hear from you all and I wish you all luck in your endeavors. If all goes well, maybe I'll get the chance to meet and "give a shout" to some of you.

As long as you can qualify for the right visa there shouldn't be a problem at all.
