Hi there, I am a new member to the forum. My wife and I (and the kids) are playing with the idea of moving overseas. For the last 8 years we have been moving people locally and abroad, now beginning to wonder about doing for ourselves what we have done for loads of others. Any thoughts on how the move can affect children all under 10 years old.

I would also be interested to get any feedback on how your moves abroad went, and advice on these moves could be made better, we rarely get feedback apart from thank you letters but would like to learn more about how we can improve on what we do.

Where are you now and where would you like to move to? Many people need to think firstly about the visa situation, so we need to know a little bit about your plans.

I think the younger the children are, the easier it is for them to adapt and to learn a new language.

We have moved abroad twice with the kids, and it was the best thing we ever did.
They have seen so much, and experienced things that some people never get the chance to do.

Hi thanks for your replies, We are looking at moving to France, so not as far afield as others. My wife speaks the language fluently and we want our children to be able to. The nature of my work is that I should be able to run my removal company from France and also assist my lorries load and unload as and when they work in the country. We also want a bit of a break from life in the UK.
