Hi there, my family are too thinking of moving to Brisbane. I am a nurse so we'd get in on my points but my husband works as a signal/track technician for the railway so he will also be looking for a job. Have you sorted your visasetc out yet. Have you looked into the area of Brisbane yet? Our issues are childcare as we have three young kids aged 9month, 3 and 5 years. We have heard that it can cost £10.00 an hour, which is a lot. This is really making us sit back and think although we are all desperate to go.

Hi Karlandliz,

Also check out the Australian section since that has people who are moving to Brissie and living in Brissie at the moment.

Karen

Hi Madsam,

I think (from another post) that you've looked at the government website for visas. We actually used an agent in the UK to do the application for us and that cost a few thousand pounds. Since you are being sponsored by family I'm not sure if that makes it easier.

Check out www.austimeline.com.au since they have current times for visas (but you do need to know your visa type).

Regards,
Karen
