Hello all,

My name is Donna and I am from Wiltshire in England. Moved to Spain 7 years ago with my Son who is now 11 and my Mother who is 61. I speak Spanish and I am already very active in our local community helping expats that live here. I live in Villaricos which has hosted the Creamfields for the last 3 years and for the next 2 years (so maybe some of you younger members have been to my pueblo!). The most well known pueblo in this area is Mojacar which suprisingly most people have heard of......

I run my own property and translation company and serve in the local community as a mediator/translator to the local Government and Guardia Civil and any other problems that arise whilst settling in the area.

I do not profess to be fluent but 85% there and learning more everyday. My son is fluent for his age and my mother gets by very well.

I intend to add knowledgeable input into this forum and if I do not know the answer I will do my best to find out or put you in contact with someone who can. For instance, I can now tell you how much you will be looking to pay for the "Impuesto Especial" (losely termed as import tax) on your vehicle if you send me the description of the car by accessing the correct tax department on-line. This is one of my many talents!

I am particularly interested in those who are living in the region of Almeria as this is where my knowledge serves best and I would like to soon add a thread/forum for the Almeria region.

That does not mean I cannot put active input for the rest of Spain but rules and regs do differ from region to region.
