Default Hello from Rogue River, Oregon

Hi everyone, I'm back and working on a new plan, this time it's Mexico, because I'm familiar with the language, it's closer to the states, the climate should suit me very well and despite losing everything but my soul with my health challenges I still hold hope to have a home and a "normal" life or some variation of, so now my dreams and hopes are on Mexico, I'm also a fan of reptiles and amphibians and the country has more than a few incredibly handsome species, although I had hopes of finding work with herps ( herptiles-reptiles and amphibians), I ended up working on Marine Biology projects and had a blast until my renal failure and would be more than happy to assist in any enhancement projects, (sea turtle perhps?) I could and I have had some interaction with Mexican Fish and wildlife personel while at a fish pathology conference in San Diego and hold a great respect for them. I'll have a million and one questions about many things and would appreciate any insight or advice you can offer. My primary concern now is Health care, as I've had a transplant and hope to find a nephrologist in or around Puerto Vallarta, or Guadalajara perhaps, if there's bus service from the coast to there, oh and hopefully that doc could be my primary care physician and treat me for my recovery from stroke, which is an ongoing battle, oh I shouldn't say "battle", but wonderful challenge.
Thanks in advance,
Thane

Hi Thane and welcome to the forum.

Sorry to hear about your poor health and hope that things are looking up for you. I am sure there is someone out on the Mexican country forum who can give you some help.

Good luck and wish you well.

Michelle
