Hi there fellow mover, I am wondering about your choice. Not that I have anything against Brisbane. But here is my thought anyway. Why not rather move to France, there are many bargains to be had as far as property is con cerned and at least you are in the middle of the world. Think about your quality of life. At least in Europe you have the chance to see the rest of the world and the flights and train rides are affordable so everyweekend or at least once a month you can see amazing art, culture and architecture and history. What are you going to see in Brisbane after you have exhausted the trourist strip? And then once again you are at the far end of the world again. You know how expensive and how long the flights are out of south africa to see any other part of the world and moving there is going to keep you excluded again. French is not a difficult language, 80 percent of english words are derived from French. Learning a new language will keep your brain active and expand your mind. I know everyone says, what about the weather? Well what about it? Would you not like to experience 4 seasons instead of two? I see alot of work available in France in the building industry, France has always been a nation of rent payers, but Sarkozy is changing that and more and more French are getting the chance to buy their homes now, there is a living to be made from fixing and selling french homes and there are alot to fix, check on the net. South African people are hard workers and not clock watchers and I think we can make it anywhere. Well these are my thoughts, good luck.
