hi markey,
congratulations on making the decision to move, its a big one when you have kids. My partner and i have two children at 9 mnths and 4. we have decided to move to cyprus ( my mum has lived there for five years and weve been going for a long time.) we are waiting until 2010 when our kids will be 3 and 7, so that i too can work. i was just wondering what made you choose oz? i must admit i am very impressed with the way their government looks after the country, its land and the people and how they are choosey about who they let in, i just wondered what attracted you?! also, how do your children feel about it? my 4 year old is desperate for us to go to cyprus, he keeps saying "if i stay around here i might end up being a chav!" i think he's heard me talking!

hi edew

we chose oz because we had travelled there 8 years ago long before the kids and loved it , we always said we would move there , just thought it would be a lot later in our lifes

our kids are really excited , i suspect it will be a big adventure for them

markey,
my son is the same everyday he asks us when we can move. i figure even if it doesn't work out you don't wanna be in old age and saying you wish you'd tried so long as your all together you can make it anywhere! you should check out the program 'nothing to lose' about australias borders, its great, gives you a good insight into the way they run the country!

Hi Markey,

Check out the Aussie forum (forum by country) since it has loads of information there. The sticky posts cover what most people need to know, you can post questions there too have them answered by people who have gone through the process.

See you in the Aussie forum!

Regards,
Karen
