Hello from sunny Cyprus!

Hi, Guys

My names Nick, Im from North London, currently living in Cyprus (12 years) and now moving to Adelaide.
I got back from Australia about a month ago,were I bought a car, found a property, enrolled the kids into school and now Im back in Cyprus waiting for my permanant visa (136) to come through.
Yes, I was thinking the same thing.......am i nuts?

Hi Nick,

Welcome to the forum. I was raised in North London and went to school in Camden Town. Lived all my married life in Essex and now we are around the otherside of the world and enjoying our lives.

Many Brits are going to Cyprus to live and yet you are leaving. Why are you moving?

Hi Michelle

Cyprus is a lovely place, I came over when I was single and married here.
Now that we have four kids, and they have educational needs, Cyprus is not the right place.
And its gone very expensive to.
Lots of people from England are coming over to Cyprus, but many return back to the UK as well, its EXPENSIVE HERE!

I had heard it was very expensive to live in Cyprus. Anyway, good luck with your plans.

Well done, my nephew lived in Finsbury Park then moved to Ramsgate Beach 3 yrs ago.... i love Oz, but hopefully gonna make the move to Cyprus..frightened a bit tho, but will have to do it, my hubsand wants to go now!!!!

Hi Nick,

I'm already here in God's Own Country (as they call it over here). I moved from the UK to Oz in July 2007, and I'm based in South East South Australia. Check out the Australia section (if you haven't already) for any extra info that you may need.

Both of you need to want to go to Cyprus though.... You don't want to go there and be miserable.

My husband was soooooo happy when I first suggested moving to Oz but he left the decision up to me since I'm close to my family and he isn't.

can't believe you want to move from Cyprus. It is a beautiful country. I met my husband whilst on holiday in Cyprus and went back there to marry.

Saying that, I suppose it is very different to holiday somewhere than live there. I wish you and your family loads of luck!
