Default Wonna move back

Hello

I am British born but have a Australian Citizanship. I live in Bristol, which I hate with a passion. I am 45 years old married with grown up kids and grandkids. Yes i started early. i did not know i was a Australian citizan until year 2000, when my mother told me. That made me mad, as I always wanted to go back. Now i can without going through all the red tape.

I am looking to get a transfer through work to Melbourne. can any one tell me what are the house prices, the best area to live, as my husband and son will be following

Hi and welcome to Expat Forum

Wow that must have been a shock for you to find out at the age of 38! I would have been mad too!

The best place for you to check out House prices in Australia is realeastate.com.au as that covers all of Australia.

Sorry I cant help you with areas in Melbourne as I'm in NSW.

Good luck and if theres anything else I can help you with just ask.

That really must have been a surprise. It reminds me of Madeleine Albright, former Secretary of State of the US. She was raised in England, and her parents never told her the family was Jewish. They ran from Hitler and apparently felt it was best to leave that all behind. She was actually in office when she found out.

It makes me wonder if there are things about my background that are important and I was never told. Anyway, good luck with your move. People I've met who have moved here all seem to be very happy.
