Question move to brisbane

Do not know much about Melbourne but my husband had been 3 times on business and said it looks lovely and sometimes you could have 4 seasons of weather in one day so itll be different to England.
The lifestyle here is great, lovely to be brown. The whole family is more relaxed and the kids love it.It isnt as perfect as they make it on the television but still a lot better then the UK.And personally i'd rather live in the sunshine of Auzz then rain and cold of England.
Good luck with your move, its a great experience.

Hi there, my husband and i are going to the expo in edinbourgh at the end of feb which i'm really looking forward to! sooner we can get to brisbane the better!! Do they have australian employers at the expo? also if you could give me any nice areas in brisbane to live that would be great! we have a 4year old and an 11month old so are looking for somewhere thats good for families. Also do you think we should start our visa application now or wait to see if my husband can get sponsered through work? i'm not sure which way to do things, any way i can speed up the process is good for me. Did you rent a house when you got there or buy straight away? we are looking to rent first then buy after a year so we can have a good look around. not sure how we go about renting though? can i set a rented house up from the uk so that we have somewhere to go once we get there?
hope you can help with all my questions, as you can gather i'm still quite confused over it all!

hopefully speak soon,

sam and family xxx

hi mumbokins

We are hoping to come to brisbane end Sept with our two small children. We've seen a house to rent in North Lakes on the internet so I just wondered if you would recommend the area, what its like for children and how long it takes you to get to the city/beach.
Would you also be able to tell me how you found finding schools for your children around there, our are only little so will be going to a nursery to start with but I'm hoping this will be a long term move and involve schools next year...Fingers crossed!

Thank you very much for any help and info.
Faye

Default Nice

Hi,

we are still in SA. I hope to have an offer by next year, or qualify for a 175 visa. I dont have a degree, but have over 10 years in SAP on projects. We are so jealous in a nice way....

Default Hopes and dreams

Hi all,

what a friendly bunch out here. I am glad to have found this forum. we are so excited, the wife and i. We know what is involved to an extent, and to our dismay, dozens of our friends, family and work people have already landed there.

We want to go to brisbane, due to its proximity to Fiji. I work on IT projects, with an SAP specialisation. I went through brisbane last year on a whistle stop en route to fiji to play golf, and was gobsmacked by the cleanliness of the city.

I pray that we can get to go. We are really looking forward to letting our children play outside without looking through electric fence etc. lol

its all good. remember why you are doing this. money is only a value, and its not in your total control anyways.

Trust in God, humble yourself and you will be AMAZED at the outcome. I have so much empathy with your feelings. here in SA, I had all the best money could buy, private estate lots. coastal areas most property barons could only dream of owning (more than 1000000m2) , foreign properties i have never even been to.

what I have learnt is that i need to place my trust in God, The Most High, and will be fine.

This may sound insane, but believe me, it works. !
