Hello Rexico,

Yes it is a beautiful country with warm friendly people. Wasn`t always the case though, up until a half dozen years ago it was racked with violence and dodgy areas.
Still is a bit tense in areas, i`ve been all over the north moving military personelle during the badder times and i s**t myself a few times (not really!)

Yes you enjoy it, at last we can and it is a wonderful place, not sure about the weather though

I was in Southern Ireland to the North one year in the late 90's driving down a very out of the way country lane with high hedges on each side in a UK motorhome, and as I rounded a corner there was a uniformed policeman in the middle of the road with his hand up telling me to stop. I was really worried, and did cross my mind just to drive past him ....... luckily he was real and just asked where we were going and where we'd been.

Yep, when i was out there we were covert with false paperwork and disguised vehicle identities, the first time i drove down ambush lane i was proper bricking it. I had seen the lane on the news a few times and there i was driving along it.
Ballikinler is a lovely little Village, but i was glad to be safely on camp.

Yes, l am glad it's over so to speak! Yes there are rough areas still that l wouldn't go into!! The military was still very present when l first moved here. Was pulled over a few times, just asking where are you going and so on! They were doing manouvers, with a helicopter no less, in our back garden (which is a huge field) one time! That was interesting! lol

The country is gorgeous and the people l find are just fab!
