Smile Australia to London :D

Hi! I'm from Perth moving to the UK in about... 2 months! It doesn't seem long enough! Slightly nervy about it all :P

And to add to the stress of it, I'm one of those newly qualified teachers, so will be looking to work in a London school... Everyone has a horror story to tell!
And there's a gyazillion teacher recruitment companies wanting you to sign with them so they can take chunks of your pay - and I don't know if I need to anyway since I'll be moving on a UK passport! Though it's probably easier so they can justify my references... >.<"

Anyhoo.. will probably lurk around forums for a bit.

Any hints/tips are welcome! (And I only want to hear more horror stories if they also have comic value! seriously...)

Hi Akatrin,

I did the reverse - London to Australia. Moved in July from Herts (just North of London) to South Australia.

Be prepared for how expensive everything will seem in London, but I'm sure you know that already.

What part of London are you moving to?

Regards,
Karen
