Hi There, I know what you mean about the u.k.

You really need to go exploring yourself to find where you want to move to as we all have different wants and needs. Take the cheap flights and enjoy exploring.
It was stated in one of the Sunday papers that us Brits are becoming poorer each year! So go for it while you can!
Good Luck.
Chez

I am in a dilema, my husband wants to move to Spain, so he can retire, can't afford to retire here at the moment, We have downsized to give us a little money behind us, but I don't want to go and leave my two sons, and my five gorgeous grandchildren. They live round the corner to me and have done since they were born, so I have seen them every week sometimes 2 or three times a week and cant bear the thought of not being able to pop round to them. We have no personal pension to come and we know it will be cheaper to live in Spain, not sure about the heat either.

I don't agree with most of what the government has done in the past 10 years. I feel like my quality of life is rubbish. The country seems to be Europe's dumping ground for assylum seekers. My personal opportunities (working in IT) seem to be de-grading due to cheap services from developing countries. And you need to be on a £100k salary to own in a half decent property and good quality of life.

I moved from London to Shropshire a couple of years ago as I thought this would give me a better life. It has helped a little but I want more...

I feel like an Expat already but without a country. I really like the sound of Australia (NSW) but the distance may be a barrier. It would be great to move to a country where I could hop on a cheap flight and come back to the UK for the weekend.

Please help me find a destination...
SNAP on the UK verdict .

Only 1 choice and thats Spain , cheap friendly and sunshine

Dont run your life for the kids , they will come and see you its only a 2 hour trip and if your by the sea they will be queing up to get there

If you dont like to much heat then stay Northern parts , and go for small towns not overdeveloped and you can get some good deals on propertys .
Cost of living and the sun and healthier air will add years to your life . they reckon Spanish live on average 10 years longer
