Default Contemplating moving to the UK

Hello,

I did my A-levels and undergraduate education in England, am currently doing my post-graduate studies in the States but am thinking of going back for work.

I'm probably thinking of major cities or mid-sized towns less than an hour away by train -- London, Edinburgh, the Silicon Fen, Cardiff etc. As a non-EU/EEA national I'd most probably be doing the work permit + highly-skilled migrant route, since I don't have the industral experience needed to qualify straight away.

Any thought on what sort of companies currently issue work permits? I'm looking mainly at IT and finance jobs.

Many thanks,

--
Michel

Glad to see you here, Michel. We have a forum especially for the UK, in the section called Expat Forums by country. You should drop in and post some questions there.

What country are you from?

Hello Synthia! Ah, I was browsing the introduction section and found some people asking questions, so I thought I'll ask as well as introducing myself. Will visit the British section as well.

I'm from Indonesia (the name is French -- long story!)

No problems with asking a question, but I think you will get more responses and be able to find more information if you look in the country specific forums.
