Default Hi to all

Just an intro to say hello to everyone. I have been registered on the site for a while now, but never did an intro and have been away from the site for some time.

My name is Chuck and my wife's name is Gabriella. I am from the U.S. and my wife is from Hungary. I lived with her in Hungary for about 1 1/2 years. It was during that time I found this web site. We came to Florida (Port St Lucie) to live in January of '06. We were very disappointed in the kinds and quality of sausage we found here in Florida. But my wife found a website that sells genuine Hungarian products, including sausage: www dot bende dot com!

We're talking about visiting Hungary but it probably won't be until next year sometime. I did have a very interesting time living there. The people are very nice in general, and I enjoy the food very much! My wife is a very good cook too, so that's great. But don't get me wrong - I cook for her as well. She likes my cooking.

The Hungarian language is very difficult. I do speak some, of course, but I have had no formal training, only what I have learned from my wife and friends and what I've been able to pick up on my own.

This is a great web site for people to have access to. Especially when you are away from home, wherever that is, it's nice to be able to ask questions and get information from people who know and have had some of the same experiences. The sense of community is very cool.

Take care, everyone!

Welcome to expatforum. phlashlite. Did you feel like an expat when you got back to the US? Quite an experience, reverse culture shock.
