The selection would really depend on your needs. Are you looking for a place with investing potential or just to live in? Do you want a quieter area or what size studios are you looking for?
Are you looking for more an "island" environment or "city environment"? Are you willing to commute?

Hey Hello!
I think I can answer your question.

First, a studio normally is 400' - 500' square feet.
With your budget, what you can buy is a studio with $4000 - $5000 per square foot.
It is not possible in the core area, for example Soho in Central which normally costs more than $10000 per square foot.

But it's possible in some of the areas you listed.

Wan Chai - Should be the best choice. Closed to core area. Convenient transportation and shops. This area will be developed further later so it has a high investment value.

Sheung Wan. - A little bit far away from core area. This area is old but there is new development. The value of studio here should rise later.

North Point - A little bit far away from core area too, but it's east. And it's old. Not much potential. But you can buy a studio here with your budget.

Discovery Bay - Normally there is no studio. The flat size here is over 900' and this area is an expensive lot.

I would suggest another location for you. It's Causeway Bay. It is similar and closed to Wan Chai but a little bit different. Causeway Bay is a shopping heaven with many local and foreign visitors. The convenient transportation and the huge people visiting make the shops and flats nearby have high investment value.

SNIP/

Metro City Plaza. Pretty good and is at Po Lam station. Very convenient. I am staying there.
