First About Me - I Am 48 Years Old Man, Separated And In Good Health.
I Am Thinking Of Taking 6/9 Months Out And Staying In Greece. I Have Visted Many Islands And Really Like The Lifestyle So I Do Know What To Expect. Is It Easy To Get Long Term Rentals For Houses/apartments ? Is It Best To Arrange This Before Leaving The Uk ? My Favoured Destination For This Trip Would Be Crete. Also Would I Be Able To Work - It Would Only Be Part Time And Tourist Based. Any Help Or Contacts Would Be Very Useful. Thanks

Hi I am afraid I don't know anyone on crete !
But what I will tell you of the Greek islands in general is , that part-time work tends to be only cleaning(housemaids) and I am sure you know everything is seasonal so employers want their moneys worth from you !
What I will suggest is to apply to major tour operators and if you don't mind a bit of "people rustling" you could do your transfer rep, it's generally rotten hours, but part-time.............you'll do a fair bit of standing around in the airport, but it's easy work and the money isn't too bad !
Just thought I would mention, hope it's of some help.
Nance
