Hi, Is your daughter going over as a holiday rep ?
If so, the company has their own doctor and will pay for anything she needs. If not, then she will have to pay as she goes. I was there as a rep in zakynthos, I had kidney stones , but the company doc did not pick up on this, so I went off to a doc recommended by friends on the island, paid 10euros, she done a urine test and bloods and indeed i had kidney stones, sent me off for a scan to be sure, then prescribed medication and lots of water, and this was all done in a few hours(the same day) hows that for service, you don't get that in the UK ! The expensive part of it all was the medication cost me about 70euros ! Nance. |

Hello again.
I had a wee look into the cornucopia club, and the fact that they are employing your daughter, they should be responsible for her well being. Like being an overseas rep they will have a doctor specifically for their employees and will supply her with a card or they will ask her to apply for a european health card it used to be an(e111) I think that has changed, but if you ask at the post office they will give you a form(free). Normally companies who employ seasonal workers from the Uk won't let you go without one ! I am assuming she will be going out the middle of April, so you may be cutting it a wee bit fine doing it yourself, I think mine took about 6weeks. Hope that is some help to you. Nance |
