Why did you become an expat? Are you glad you did?

I've always wanted to travel. I was the misfit kid, growing up in a town where everyone wanted to marry by the time they were twenty, or at most get a degree and come back home and get married. I wanted to go to Switzerland. And Bali. And New York City.

Because we could. We had EU passports and that kind of triggered the idea of moving to Europe.
