Default Salary Deductions earning a wage in Greece?

Hi there,
I have just accepted a job in Greece earning 1300 Euros per month. My employer will be paying for my housing and they also state they will pay my IKA. Will I have other deductions from my salary ? The job is for 6 months then if I like it, I can stay permanently in Greece. Would I have income tax deductions from day one ? Or National Insurance (or is that the IKA my employee pays). Any advice much appreciated.

I think you would be best off just asking your employer what other deductions will be taken out of your paycheck. Have you tried that?

Hi. when my eka was paid out of my wage in zante there was only that taken out nothing else. Then throught he winter months you can draw a small amount to live off each month but you have to have been paying it for 2yrs. if you claim it trough the winter you can claim it all at once ithink latest april. If you dont claim it you loose all the money for the winter.
