Due to a recent spamming incident on the site, we have decided to not allow junior members access to the private message system on ExpatForum.com. This means that new members cannot send or recieve Private Messages.

Once your account is upgraded the status of Active Member then you will have full access to the PM system. To become an Active Member you need to have made 5 good posts on the forum then you need to wait untill we upgrade your account. We qualify "good posts" as those which are not advertising, not spam and not short one liners.

No. Once you have made 5 good posts our system will then automatically flag your account to be upgraded. There may be a delay after your 5th post while the system checks things but the upgrades are controlled by us once you have made 5 good posts.
