Default Lake Fishing Business in France

Hi all,
My partner and I are looking to start a Carp fishing business in Northern France and I am in the process of trying to research it all and pull together a business plan but where to start?
Cn anyone help at all. How to get permits? Banks for loans? Water rates? Electricity suppliers? How to go about getting planning permission?
The list goes on!
Any info would be very much appreciated, my head is just spinning!!!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Good luck with your plans - where are you moving from? If you are in Europe you will have no visa problems.

I suppose we were lucky as we came to a country where you can worry about the visa stuff once you arrive.

Hopefully someone can help you.

There was a programme on UK TV about a year ago about a couple who did the same thing in France. It was one of the "No Going Back" series on Channel 4, I think.

Wish I could thing what the name of their place is. Might it be in Argeles?

Not sure if this will be of any help..Starting a Business in France Details - Doing Business - The World Bank Group

France Business: Starting a business in France is a challenge, as it is everywhere. Find information here abou

Maybe the info isn't what you're looking for but there could be a lead onto another avenue of research.

I see you've posted in the France forum so hopefully you'll get some helpful advice there.

permits - licences needed to open a fishery i believe is done by meeting the mayor of the village or town.

The banks are simple if you have security and a good sensible business cash flow and plan etc , no problems .. If your assetts are lower than what you need then your stuffed .

Water rates on propertys are low in france i believe (a post in france forum will advise that ) If its for filling the lake then a good lake should be fed by some natural stream or such like .

Electric suppliers should be simple as long as power is running on or very near the site , you would be liable for costs to bring to your dwelling etc.

Planning is done by local Mayor and council i understand.(again France forum will advise )

hope this helps if so click on my scales (top right)
