Default Bringing nanny back to U.S.

We have brought our nanny of seven years back to the U.S. as a "Domestic Servant of Certain U.S. Citizens" and hope to convert her to a permanent work visa through the EB-3 program as a "Household Manager". I'm curious as to whether anyone here has attempted this, either successfully or unsuccessfully.

Marry her off to the chauffeur -- it'll be much easier.

Can't say I've ever done this myself, but I suspect this is one of those cases where a good immigration lawyer might be a worthwhile investment. The regulations for this sort of situation are murky enough - and your ability to convert her non-immigrant visa to a permanent work visa could rest on your lawyer's ability to navigate the system.
Cheers,
Bev

I agree with Bev. An attorney is called for. I did know someone about 20 years ago who did something like this, but the laws were a lot different then. But it used to be possible at any rate.
