As to where to start, consider what languages you speak, and what line of work you're in. Coming from the EU, you can consider most of the EU without having to worry about visas, but in most countries you'll need to have the local language. Within the EU there are provisions for carrying over your unemployment payments, at least for a time, in whatever country you move to.

No country is going to find a job for an unemployed foreigner unless you've got qualifications that are in urgent demand. (They generally have plenty of their own native-born unemployed they are trying to find jobs for.) For most countries outside the EU, you are going to have to prove what a great asset you'll be to the country in order to get a working visa - either you need a job offer in hand before applying for a visa, or you need to have high-level qualifications that make you more or less instantly employable.
Cheers,
Bev

HI, Have you ever considered being a holiday rep ?
All you really need is stamina, patience(customer service) & have a good grasp of maths, so you don't get ripped off for your comms !
It's a good way to travel around and after a couple of seasons you can always stay and work in that area !
But the wages are pretty poor, but you don't have to pay for accommodation and if you get an all inclusive property you'll get fed aswell !
Good Luck,
Nance

p.s all the major travel companies are hiring now !
