Hi Deeba, welcome to the forum.

When you say you have started the immigration process and are half way through, what exactly do you mean? Have you already applied for a visa, or are you still trying to figure out what sort of visa you need? You say you are coming from Pakistan, but is that your nationality? (I see you posted in the Dubai section, so obviously you've lived in various parts of the world already.)

In the Australia section of the forums, you'll find lots of discussions of the pros and cons of the various types of visas. It may well depend upon what sort of training and experience you have and what sort of job you want to look for in Australia. If it's in a field where they need workers, you'll have different options. And, it may be easier to process the visas for the family all at once rather than sending you on ahead - especially if your husband is going to be looking for work, too.

Our resident Australia person is enjoying a couple of days off, but should be back through here soon. Until then maybe some of our other members in or on their way to Oz will be able to help.
Cheers,
Bev

I am in Pakistan and am a trained hair dresser, I has sent my work pictures to TRA and they have ascepted me. the consultan who is helping me to submit my work visa, needs me to collect some documents from my privious employer, school etc, and the Part of the country where I finished my high school from is closed for winter vactions so I will have to wait untill I go there in March, well I also have to do my Ielts test.
Yes the Consultant has advised us to get the family Visa and we will do so. but I was thinking would'nt it be difficult for all of us to travel together and upon reaching Australia finding a place to live and to find a job and getting settled would be difficult if all of us go together.
which is a good city to settle as my elder daughter is a host of a Tv Channel in Pakistan and she hopes to stay in profection close to what she is doing now, the 2 younger ones will be finishing their O Levels in June this year. which collage would be good for them? Etc etc etc.

Hi Deeba,

Belated welcome to the forum, but as usual Bev has done a wonderful job in my absence!

Look under the country section in this forum for Australia. There is a "PLEASE READ..." post there that has a lot so the links that you require including schools , areas, health care etc. I'll also copy this post to the Aussie forum so that others will see it and add their suggestions.

If really depends on what you are looking for as a family as to where you move to. It sounds like you need to check out the jobs for your daughter first and
Search for jobs in Australia. Online job search may be able to help with that or finding out what the professional body is in Australia for your daughters profession (try google.com.au and do the search there checking the Australia box).

Regards,
Karen
