I have the details of the scheme that my family use and from what I understand, it covers all pre-existing conditions. Saying that there is a waiting time for certain medical conditions whether they are pre-existing or not, from 60 - 540 days.

As soon as I reach 20 posts, I can send you the website for Thema and other medical plans here.

THEMA - This is the company we use.

If you need any translation, please let me know.

The most expensive company is OSDE with no co-payments
www.osde.com.ar

Swiss Medical
Swiss Medical Group

Sami - not sure of website, but very popular.

These are the four main companies.

To enroll in the Italian national health plan, you have to be a resident. All plans start January 1 for 12 month. Four years ago (when we last purchased it) it was E145 a year. Co-pays for medicine and doctor visits have been added since but the mandatory (prescription) specialist visits are about E2; otherwise you pay E16
