Hi UKgirl,

If you check out the helpful websites post in the Aussie forum you'll find links to visa and job info.

Australia is a BIG place and you need to know what it is you are looking for...
Hot weather or cold weather Australia has it all (well Tassie can be cold).
Is your daughter still at school or college?
What are you willing to spend on a house? The major cities are all more expensive than the regional ones (I know no surprise there ).
More multicultural or rural area?

Australia has something for everyone (I should get paid for this sort of promotion ) but you do need to know what you want. Once you've decided on some areas to investigate you can check out real estate websites such as
Real Estate, Property, Land and Homes for Sale, lease and rent - realestate.com.au or www.domain.com.au for rental or buying prices.

I find the cost the living as expensive as the UK. Not sure whether that's because we're in a rural community (25,000) in South Australia.

Regards,
Karen
