May I ask what type of work you will be doing online? Sounds great. Perhaps Turkey is an option too? I don't know about internet speed, I guess it depends where you choose to live.

Singapore? It's a developed country for sure, but there are ways to scrimp and save a bit.

Singapore? I was just reading an article giving Singapore the #10 spot for being the most expensive city in the world to live! My experience is yes, it is very expensive. No way to get around rent - and almost impossible to find a place for less than S$1500 - S$2000 per month. You can save on food and get some good deals on clothing, but that's about it. I happen to really like Singapore, but it's just too expensive to consider it a cheap country! The internet is excellent, tho... :-)

Have you checked out Mexico at all? I am looking at places for relocation and am really excited about some places off the beaten path in Baja, if you look right there are some gems!
