Below is a list of 25 good things about the UK , i wondered if anyone could see if i missed anything out ?

1 ; Cold and dirty Seas
2 ; Expensive Petrol £ 1.20p a litre
3 ; Hospitals riddled with in bred deseases Cifid , MRSA etc .(Go in ill 10% chance you wont make it out alive)
4 ; Multi Racial with Muslim MP s in some districts
5 ; Expensive food costs highest in Europe
6 ; Household Rubbish left in gardens for a week prior to collections ( 2 weeks in some areas )
7 ; High Taxation not on salries but sneakily put on everything they can think of .
8 ; Kids run the housing estates older generation live in fear
9 ; Highest degree of Cameras watching the Nation
10; Shops close at 5pm
11; TV licence fee needed to watch any TV
12; Easy open policy to give funds to all and sundry except its own pensioners, who may have savings.or be silly enough to own there house for there retirement
13; Vehicle Road tax most expensive in the world
14; Sunny climate most of the year except Jan Feb March April May June July Aug Sept Oct Nov Dec.
15; Flying the National Flag is reserved for only a few
16; Dentists few and far between and over stretched hard to get in unless Private and then they are the most expensive in the world
17; Highest property prices in Europe
18; Industry dissapearing which makes the Country quieter
19; Countryside which is lovely and Green and waterlogged roads jammed so can only look at from a far
20; Schooling where at age 9 the kids learn sex tips, and Muslim ways in case you feel the urge to switch sides .
21; 24 hour drinking laws ,drink what you like when you like where you like and drunks are hailed as heros
22; Congested Roads
23; Old Castles and old houses and old roads and old schools and old cars and old people etc,
24; History and Heritage in abundance
25; Highest level of Knife crimes in 2006 in Europe

Must admit Britain does have a few things that nowhere else can compete with...

You regard being multi-racial as a negative? Being taught about different cultures and religions as a negative? My thought is that one of the problems with the UK is people with the same attitude you have.

I too disagree with Big Petes big picture tbh, as for oddball says you could draw up a list like this about many countries. I could easily do this about Spain, but I could also draw up an equally positive list.

Its very easy to be negative about the place you live in.

To Hurricane, I cant stop people posting their views on here my friend ... people will draw their own conclusions about the OP's views

We could all do that ,i have said before NO where is perfect. I love Cyprus but it has it pros&cons. Its up to you to work with adapt too and hope to get the most out of live we can. Tricia
