As has already been said, there is no such place as paradise. I left the UK for many of the same reasons as other people have mentioned, but where I have moved to, there are different problems. A poor economy and corruption are top of the list.

My children when they arrived said "if they had money, they would repair all the roads and pavements and also set-up an animal shelter for the stray animals." These are things that we take for granted in the UK. Different country, different problems.....................

Nah, most of those who whine about the UK end up moving to Spain, probably because there are too many foreigners in the UK no doubt.

Well actually about 50% do winge about the Uk ,
About 5 % try and do something about it by voicing there disgust
Another 5 % just bury there head in the sand and hope it will get better
A Further 5 % are making financial gains from the sinking ship ie; camera manufacturers , civil serveants, translators etc etc.
5 % more wish they could move away but cant for whatever reasons maybe financial or otherwise
10 % have such a good fiddle with sponging of the state that there well happy as to shout would bring attention so they keep quiet.
5 % Are not true Britiish so they love it here
10 % Are so stupid if the Government said "Right from now on lights to be turned off in every house at 9pm for global warming " They would be there at 8.59pm ready to switch them off.

The best 5 % Move away to safer sunnier cheaper climates . and they are the best as i am one of them

dragonflyblu - The expression 'whingeing pom' is used to describe English whiners (American for whinge) whether they are based in the UK or elsewhere.

And by the way, does anyone know if it is spelled with an 'h'?
