Question : Food for thought - What is the perfect life ?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sitting down having my little tipple of Real Ale whilst listening to the classic " The Rubettes do Frank Sinatra (in stereo)" ,sitting in me comfy chair and reflecting on things . It got me thinking !!!

Now as a young lad i would spend many a day down on the beach in kent and loved it .
I had a couple of old cars when younger and to me they was brilliant .
My first stereo a Ferguson stereo with a whopping 5 watts a channel , it did the job and i was well pleased .
First Television i had to get up to turn it on off and change channels etc, but it was great .
Buying my first house was hard and it was a tiny 2 bedroomed affair , but it was mine and i was well pleased with it.

Now if nothing had changed i dare say i would still accept all the above

But what happens and i guess i assume its been much the same for everyone who will read this ? we try other things and thats when problems start !

You go away abroad and find that the sea is crystal clear and warm !! Suddenly the old dirty brown sea i used to use isnt so good anymore .

You have a drive in a luxury car ,super smooth ,fast and drives like silk !!
Suddenly you realise what a crap old car you have .

You check out the latest HI Fi set ups full remote control ,surround sounds etc, !!!
Suddenly the old stereo sounds rubbish .

You get a look at the latest Big Screen TV surround sounds ,full remote etc. !!!
Suddenly the old telly looks grainny dull and its no good anymore ..

You go round better houses with ensuites ,jaccussis, swimming pools etc.!!!
Suddenly the little house is tiny and naff ..

Likewise we live our life assuming things like ;
Petrol costs must be the same world over .
Living Costs must be same world over surely.
etc etc..

Then you take a few holidays and suddenly reality kicks in and you think hmmmmmm hang on a minute !!!

Somethings not right ? How come you can pay £ 1.50 for fags in Spain and there made in England yet in England there £ 6 ??
And why do we pay so much extra for Petrol ? etc etc..

Then you get back to England and your ruined !! I guess you have a wake up call and then you start to look around more and compare and you notice little subtle differences like;

A million cameras watching you , your food bill seems to keep increasing despite having less in the basket ,6 weeks of sunny weather is no good anymore , Your constantly comparing things with how they was ,and with what you have seen around the world or at least the places you had holidayed .

So my own theory is that only when you have sampled better do you realise what a pretty mundane boring life you have in England ...
The happiest people are the Poor actually ! reason being they never get abroad so they dont get spoilt
And also the thickos as there to thick to know better .

So in answer to my own question ;
The perfect life is a choice of 2 ..
1, Be poor and let the Uk Government keep you ,and never leave the council estate ,

2, Get away have the nice car ,nice house with the pools, find the cheaper living , Top Tv etc,etc..

Just something to think about anyways

Default perfect life /

Is there or should there be such a thing or conception of a perfect life,i fear not .We all have to live with the foibles of the rest of humanity,thier interpretation of what constitutes perfection, to most just a happy marriage will sufice , no matter how much money you make, you will spend it any way and complain you are short changed .I think i have found , not perfection but a certain quality of life i can live with , i have had to learn to compromise nmany things , but it has been complimented by my young , uneducated Cambodian wife .Please live with me as i try my best to explain the scenario , i hired her to keep my apartment clean and organised , a difficult task in the s/e asian world , however , she took over washing , cooking etc and did such an excellant job i asked my interpreter f she could live me full time , after a discussion with mama the answer was yes provided there was no sex involved , a couple of months later she wanted to extend this agreement , we had a simple ceremoney in her village where we agreed to respect each other as individual human beings , 2 years later we are still happily together despite language and cultural differences , there are to my mind no such things unless you allow them to enter the scenario , a perfect life >? Mine , i think is about as close as it comes provi9ded you ignore comments from overweight ladies about those ugly old men with thier lovely young ladies , one very inportant point they miss is the improvement to the life style not only of the lady ut for the whole extended family . Governments inject billions of $$$ intom tjhese copuntries but ;little to none actually goes where it is needed ,. every cent i spend goes where it is needed most , please stop ex[posatulating and realise we are not dirty o0ld men ,. just people who have found a niche in life they could not find in the western world because of the jealous nature of too many gravitationally disadvantaged ladies tjhast will not admit they are simply not atractive to health concious males , do not like this scenario ? look in your closet and view the clot6hes youm wish you could wear today , not my problem , yours , plus your sinking attitude towards sex , i have had all the chidren io need. end of story . A very happy and contented Colin
