I think its a girly thing Men seem to handle the missing the family thing better ..

Solution is the men emigrate find new young ladies in there chosen destination maybe .The women stay with there mummys .. everyones a winner

I left Canada and spent two years in the Phillipines, can't honestly say I missed anyone too much. I sure didn't miss the weather. Our kids were young when we left ( 1 and 3 ) and kept us pretty busy. Bear in mind that I had been preparing to leave Canada for five years so mentally I was ready for the move. My next move will be geared with retirement and after being a working stiff for 50 years I look forward to putting my feet up in a tropical location and having a few cold brewskies.
