Default Which onlilne TESL programs?

I've seen a lot of posts on teaching english overseas but haven't seen any on good, online or distance learning TESL, TEFL or ESL programs that are out there. Are there ones that are recommended or ones to stay away from?

The one thing the online courses have going against them is the lack of "hands on" teacher training. If you have a background in teaching (at almost any level) that may not be a severe handicap, but it's something to consider.

That said, there are a number of universities (mostly in the north of England for some reason) that offer online TEFL or TESL programs. They generally advertise in the monthly "English Teaching" section of the Guardian Weekly.
Cheers,
Bev
