Default Advice on where to move

Hi everybody,

My girlfriend and I live in Canada and have decided to pack it in and move abroad (we are both avid travelers). It is partly due to our work situations changing and partly due to the weather.

She is 39, I am 34. We both have degrees - philosophy and geography and our work history is pretty much hospitality and tourism based. We both have Canadian citizenship, but I also have UK citizenship.

The obvious direction would be to teach English (maybe in Korea), but we are both taken with the idea of working somewhere tropical and exotic.

We would love to hear your suggestions of which countries to consider and what we would be qualified to do there.

Thanks very much!

Haven you tried checking out the Philippines, Singapore or how ‘bout Bermuda. I see on the web how beautiful those places are specially the latter one. Though Korea isn’t a bad choice, I heard they have great seasons there and the people are hospital; not to mention their culture is still alive and so amazing.

Thailand seems to be a popular choice for those sorts of things, it's also rich in culture and tropical weather.

Do consider Okinawa. It has a very diverse culture (not just Japanese) and has amazing whether. Whatever direction you decide to go in the morning you will end up on the beach in less then 30min and there is an american military base with lots of job offers and possibilities. Also diving and tourist jobs.

If you are looking into Bermuda at all, don't hesitate to message me. I've lived here for over 5 years and my husband is a local so I know a lot about Bermuda. One of the bigger attraction aside from the pristine beaches, is the location. Two hours away from New York, 8 from the UK and 4 or 6 hours away from Canada, all direct flights.
