Default Anyone looking for work as an English teacher in Lyon?

Hi all,

The company I work for does English teaching in the best way possible - through interaction, enthusiasm, coaching and training sessions that leave students confident about their ability and excited about the possibilities open to them if they speak English.

I've worked for other training companies in Lyon and nothing compares - I engage with my students every day and really love what I do.

We work with some high-profile business schools, government organisations and companies in Lyon and are growing constantly, so we're looking for more English teachers. You need to be passionate about teaching, able to work with a range of clients (individuals and groups) and have lots of energy.

If this sounds like you, please send through your CV and cover letter, and/or questions about the position or the company.

Cheers,
Kylie

Default TESL Teachers

My wife(Swedish) abd I(American) are thinking of moving to Lyon. I have thought about a teaching job and am planning to take the CELTA course here in San Francisco. Some people have been telling me that most employers what British English speakers as opposed to American. Is this true and is the CELTA the best course to take?

Default Interested in English Teaching in Lyon

Hi Kylie,

Thanks for your post. My friend and I are planning to relocate to Lyon between the months of October and November. We are currently looking at our options and we are both very interested in teaching English.

We are both followed an international education in the Netherlands and have been educated to degree level although we do not have teaching certificates we do have experience in teaching and working with children and adults.

We would like to know more about your company (name, history, website etc..) and what an average week of teaching would look like (hours, salary, class size).

Lastly, would we be required to speak French fluently or is adequate french enough?

I look forward to hearing from and sending over our CV's.

With Kind Regards,

Noor and Kiri

I have a training background and would be interested in knowing what firm you are speaking of and what the hourly rates would be for contract training.

Thanks

Has anyone heard from this Kylie person? I'm just wondering if this is some kind of scam. Her description seems quite scripted. Thoughts? Thanks.
