We "français de l'étranger" will vote in April for the Président de la République and in June for our "député" in the legislative elections, within one of the 11 "circomscriptions" around the world.

In order to do that, we had to be "registered" in the corresponding consulate "liste électorale". The deadline to registered expired yesterday, December 31.

There's a third instance where the "français de l'étranger" vote, for the "Assemblée des français de l'étranger", which itself elects the Senateurs des français de l'étranger.

One can be registered for those instances "abroad", and vote in the consulate, oro be registered "in France" and vote either by "being there" the day of the election or by "procuration" (which also had to be established in advance) by delegating the vote to someone in the "commune" in France where you are registered.
