I don't think jobs are "easy" to find anywhere in Europe these days.

A couple things you need to consider:

What nationality are you? (Basically, will you need a visa to even be eligible to apply for a job in France?) You say "we" are moving to Nice - if you are accompanying other family members, your ability to work may well be dependent on what sort of visa the main breadwinner or visa applicant has.

What qualifications do you have? The French are nuts about "qualifications" - by which they usually mean academic certificates and diplomas. Most potential employers expect you to be looking for a job in the field you qualified in, and while having experience is important, they often don't consider "on the job" training or responsibilities you may have assumed outside your particular job definition to be relevant.

How well do you speak French? Even to teach English, you need to be able to communicate (to your boss and to your clients/students) in French.

You can start with the standard websites (Monster, Stepstone, etc.) or try the various French newspapers online, but jobs in France most often are found through a "friend of a friend" or just by pounding the pavement and talking face to face with business owners or managers.
Cheers,
Bev

So you must be on a working holiday visa valid a year.

I suggest you contact English language schools.

Main recruiting season is around April to June for the following September start, and I suggest you go around taking your CV in French. You need at least rudimentary French as managers and owners may not be fluent in English. The fact you cannot stay for the whole academic year will be a downer. When you fist arrive in March, you may only find private lessons (from around 10 euro an hour). This is done through word of mouth, ads in newspapers and magazines and posters in bookshops, unis etc, with tear-off slips with your mobile phone number for prospective client to contact you.

If you're on a working holiday visa, it's really doubtful potential employers are going to post job openings online or even in the newspaper. You really need to be on site and just go in to see the owners or managers about a short-term job.
Cheers,
Bev
